Our Animals
When you go the animals section you will see that we talk about the area the animals roam in as acres. Land is often measured in acres. There are 640 acres in one square mile. An "acre," is an Old English word meaning a field. It comes from the Latin ager and Greek agros, meaning a field. The acre originally came from the area that could be ploughed in a day by an ox.
