Organic Water Buffalo
Our water buffalo originally descend from Asian buffalo, like those in India and Pakistan.
They are called water buffalo because in the wild they inhabit swampy wet areas. We have a dairy herd of over 200.
Our buffalo are very friendly and curious animals and can live for over 20 years.
They are kept just the same way as our other cattle but because they are larger and stronger, our hedges, fences, gates, and even the milking parlour have to be reinforced to handle them safely. However, they are quieter than many cattle and do not kick when being milked.
Their milk is very rich and creamy and makes delicious cheese and ice cream.
